Cycling in the Black Forest
All around Engel Obertal lies the Baiersbronner Bikehimmel, a network of forest tracks, trails and tours for very different levels. Some days call for an easy ride through the countryside, others for a sportier one over the high ground and along narrow paths. We are happy to help you choose the right route and the right bike.
On two wheels through forest and open country
There is a network of some 1,000 kilometres of routes around Baiersbronn for anyone who would like to discover the Black Forest from the saddle. You can ride it by mountain bike, gravel bike or e-bike, along woodland paths and trails and over scenic routes for different levels of experience. At Engel Obertal we give you recommendations and maps for your tour, and our own fleet of bikes is right here on site. So your next outing starts, quite simply, at the hotel door.

The hotel's own bikes are available to our guests for a fee, subject to availability.

Out and about in Obertal
First the climb, then the view
At the top, the effort gives way to the view. A moment on the bench above the valley, the bike lying in the grass, then back into the bends.

On your return to Engel Obertal, Wolke 7 is there for you, our own spa with saunas, pools and a natural swimming lake. Tired legs can rest, and the day ends the way it began.
